Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum 3 years of experience
- knowledge of sanitation and safety in food handling
- food safety certification within 6 months of hire
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- knowledge of principles of sanitation and safety in food handling and equipment
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- one year of trade school or vocational schooling preferred
- food safety certification required within 6 months of hire
Job Duties
- oversees and supports preparation and production of food for patient and guest meals
- ensures department goals and objectives are met
- follows standardized recipes, daily production charts, and instructions
- ensures food is produced according to quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature, and timeliness standards
- follows HACCP procedures
- uses standard food preparation equipment, utensils, and measuring devices appropriately
