Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum five years of cooking experience
- ServSafe Certification required or must obtain within six months
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk short distances
- Capability of frequent bending and withstanding temperature changes
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts Sunday through Saturday
- Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Five years cooking experience required
- ServSafe Certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire
- Knowledge of knife skills and kitchen safety
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English effectively
- Experience with portion control and food cost management
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good judgment and initiative in food preparation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepares, cooks, and presents food according to quality standards
- Ensures minimal food waste
- Manages daily production sheets and portion control
- Labels, covers, and dates all food in storage
- Cleans, maintains, and stores kitchen equipment properly
- Assists with cooking procedures and recipe development
- Tastes food to determine quality and palatability
- Ensures timely meal delivery
- Maintains kitchen sanitation according to regulations
- Oversees proper food handling and HACCP procedures
- Logs food temperatures and reports deviations
- Attends training on nutrition, sanitation, and dietetics
- Promotes professional conduct and positive interpersonal relationships
- Communicates effectively with staff and management
- Follows safety rules, uniform, hygiene, and regulatory policies
- Accepts assignments and proactively seeks additional tasks
- Uses good judgment and initiative in food preparation
