Job Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid driver's license
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Pass a drug test including marijuana
- Pass a DOT physical examination
- Ability to safely lift/carry up to 90 lbs and up to 150 lbs with hand truck
- Pass FedEx Ground criminal background check
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Be punctual and ready to work each day
- Ability to climb stairs
- Capability to work in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and 'get it done' attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1-year commercial driving experience in the last 3 years or 5 years experience in the last 10 years
- Previous experience with local delivery companies or logistics is an advantage
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job
- Familiarity with delivery route operations and package handling
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle safely at all times
- Deliver and pick up packages to businesses and residences
- Perform daily vehicle inspections including fluid level checks
- Load vehicle for deliveries and organize daily loads
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication with manager
- Accurately operate scanner and track delivery process
- Ensure accurate disposition of package delivery and pickups
- Deliver entire route in a timely manner
