Job Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- have a valid driver’s license
- have a clean driving record
- pass drug test including marijuana
- pass DOT physical
- pass FedEx Ground criminal background check
- be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and up to 150 lbs with hand truck
- have reliable transportation to and from work
- be punctual and ready to work each day
- be able to climb stairs
- be able to work in all weather conditions
- comply with TSA Security Threat Assessment standards including 5 continuous years of U.S. residency
- have proper employment authorization such as working visa or permanent residency
- have strong work ethic and positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior local delivery or driving experience
- valid driver’s license
- clean driving record
- strong customer service skills
- ability to safely lift and carry packages up to 75 lbs
- ability to work in various weather conditions
- familiarity with package scanning technology
- teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle safely at all times
- deliver and pick up packages at businesses and residences
- perform daily vehicle inspection including checking fluid levels
- load vehicle for deliveries and organize daily loads
- work independently and as part of a team
- provide exceptional customer service and maintain communication with manager
- operate scanner and track delivery process accurately
- ensure accurate disposition of package deliveries and pickups
- deliver entire route in timely manner
- deliver packages including alcohol following local laws
