Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen or culinary setting
  • culinary degree or equivalent training is preferred
  • strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
  • passion for pastry arts and a desire to continuously learn and improve
  • ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • willingness to follow instructions and take on new challenges

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods following recipes and guidelines set by the pastry chef
  • ensure all pastries and baked goods are made to the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items
  • maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • monitor inventory and supplies, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, performing maintenance or reporting issues as needed
  • follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, conducting regular cleaning and inspections
  • work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • mentor and train junior pastry staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • participate in kitchen meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new techniques and standards
