Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of proven experience as a medical receptionist or front desk clerk within a clinic
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks
  • Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance verification efficiently
  • Excellent customer service skills with professional phone presence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry (10 key typing), and office management software
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Bilingual abilities preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly
  • Ability to commute to Katy, TX 77494
  • Work location must be in person

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly

Job Duties

  • Ensure schedule for providers are full to capacity
  • Fill no-show patient slots on the same day and time
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and provide exceptional customer service
  • Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (eClinicalWorks) ensuring accuracy
  • Obtain HMO referrals timely when required
  • Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks
  • Collect copays and deductibles upfront
  • Update patient information and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Facilitate medical billing, including CPT and ICD coding, collection efforts, and payment posting
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation
  • Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure confidentiality of health information
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry and document preparation
