Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a medical receptionist or front desk clerk within a clinic
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks
- Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform insurance verification efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone presence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry (10 key typing), and office management software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Bilingual abilities preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly
- Ability to commute to Katy, TX 77494
- Work location must be in person

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Duties
- Ensure schedule for providers are full to capacity
- Fill no-show patient slots on the same day and time
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (eClinicalWorks) ensuring accuracy
- Obtain HMO referrals timely when required
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks
- Collect copays and deductibles upfront
- Update patient information and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Facilitate medical billing, including CPT and ICD coding, collection efforts, and payment posting
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism
- Maintain organized filing systems and ensure confidentiality of health information
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry and document preparation
