Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a sous chef or similar leadership role
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
  • ServSafe certification
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and global cuisines

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in menu engineering food costing and inventory management

  • ServSafe certification is a must
  • Passion for food creativity and commitment to quality

Job Duties

  • Assist the executive chef in all aspects of kitchen management including menu planning recipe development and execution
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff ensuring smooth and efficient service during all meal periods
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitation and hygiene standards including HACCP and ServSafe
  • Manage inventory levels order supplies and control food costs to meet budgetary goals
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation across all dishes
  • Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen personnel focusing on culinary techniques safety and teamwork
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in the kitchen
  • Contribute creative ideas for menu enhancements and special events
  • Uphold the restaurants reputation for excellence and exceptional dining experiences
