- Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable adapting to a dynamic work environment and changing client needs
- Skilled in managing food cost, labor, and maximizing revenue
Job Duties
- Prepare and present dishes with precision and creativity
- Design and develop inventive menus reflecting current culinary trends and personal style
- Source ingredients by building relationships with local farmers and suppliers
- Customize menus and presentations for special events based on client preferences
- Oversee kitchen operations including inventory and equipment maintenance
- Stay updated on culinary trends and integrate innovative techniques
- Inspire and engage kitchen staff to perform at their best
- Ensure compliance with kitchen policies, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Manage daily food preparation and maintain high culinary standards
- Communicate effectively with front of house and other departments
- Manage labor and food costs to meet budget goals
- Promote and maintain company culture, values, and human resource programs
