Job Requirements
- Cooking experience of at least 3 years
- Leadership experience of at least 1 year
- Food handler certification preferred
- Available to work night shifts
- Must work in person
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a chef, sous chef, or kitchen manager in a restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and food service techniques
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure
- Must have or be able to obtain a food safe handlers license
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and some holiday hours as needed
Job Duties
- Develop and create features that are innovative and appealing to customers and also reflect seasonal trends and popular culinary trends
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Oversee food service operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of meals
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Train and supervise kitchen staff including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen personnel
- Monitor inventory levels and responsible for all kitchen orders included but not limited to food, dry goods, chemicals, and small wares
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing menu items
