Job Requirements
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience in a healthcare setting
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and email
- ability to work varying schedules including days, evenings and weekends
- strong leadership and team management skills
- knowledge of federal, state and local health regulations
- ability to manage inventory effectively
- excellent communication skills
Job Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience
- three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience in a healthcare setting
- comprehensive knowledge of food and healthcare dining trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- extensive catering experience a plus
- high volume complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
- ServSafe certified highly desirable
- experienced with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email and the internet
Job Duties
- Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
- lead a team of 30 employees, train team in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards
- establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
- maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed
- comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- perform other duties as assigned
