Job Requirements
- Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery and knives
- Ability to withstand changes in temperature, smoke, steam, heat, and work in confined spaces
- Must possess hearing, visual, and sensory abilities to detect emergencies and distinguish product quality
- Must be able to work in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work ten-hour plus shifts including weekends and holidays
- Able to stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of high-volume culinary management experience
- Demonstrated understanding of business operations and financials
- Solid track record of success with upward career progression
- Culinary school background is a plus
- Experience with POSitouch, Crunchtime, and Open Table is a plus
- Ability to work ten-hour plus shifts and stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods
- Able to work closing shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, and planning
- Demonstrate superior ingredient knowledge and understanding of culinary trends
- Use career experience to help the restaurant reach financial goals through management of labor and food costs
- Execute mastery of receiving and storage standard procedures
- Demonstrate ability to run volume shifts from expo or lead kitchen position
- Manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise creating a calm and positive work environment
- Foster an environment of continuous learning, open and honest feedback, and corrective action as needed
