Nestled in a lively coastal setting, Coco's offers an upbeat atmosphere that resonates with both locals and tourists seeking a memorable dining experience by the sea. The restaurant prides itself on delivering exceptional service while maintaining a strong focus on quality and creativity in its culinary offerings. Known for its welcoming environment and dedication to fresh, beach-inspired cuisine, Coco's has established itself as a go-to destination for seafood lovers and those appreciating an energetic yet relaxed dining vibe.

We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations across all dayparts. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards that our guests expect and enhancing the creativity and consistency of our menu offerings. As the Executive Chef at Coco's, you will oversee all back-of-house operations, ensuring seamless execution from food preparation to the final presentation on the plate. Your leadership will be pivotal in fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere, guiding the kitchen team with training, scheduling, and performance management. You will work closely with the Director of Operations and ownership to develop seasonal, beach-inspired menus that align perfectly with Coco's brand identity and customer preferences.

In addition to menu development, you will be responsible for monitoring food costs, waste management, and inventory control to meet profitability targets effectively. Upholding the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance is critical in this role. You will also manage ordering, receiving, and storage of food products, ensuring quality and freshness are never compromised. Maintaining consistent kitchen systems, prep lists, and recipes will be essential to guarantee uniformity and excellence across all shifts.

Collaboration with front-of-house leadership is another key aspect, ensuring smooth communication and exceptional service that guests can rely on. You will also oversee the maintenance of kitchen equipment and coordinate necessary service calls to keep operations running efficiently. The role demands an executive chef with a proven track record in high-volume restaurant settings, strong leadership and communication skills, and the creative ability to craft Maryland-inspired menus. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, is required to meet the demands of the vibrant beach restaurant scene. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding food and experience to guests at Coco's.
