Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years of stable tenure as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
  • experience managing a high-volume, scratch-cooking kitchen
  • proven ability to build and lead a culinary team
  • strong skills in menu development and kitchen financial management
  • familiarity with inventory control, purchasing, food costing, and labor management
  • commitment to uphold food safety and sanitation standards
  • willingness to relocate to Lynchburg, Virginia

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of stable tenure as an Executive Chef or Head Chef
  • experience leading the kitchen of a successful independent restaurant or smaller restaurant group with annual sales of two to three million dollars
  • demonstrable expertise in menu creation, team building, and managing kitchen financials in a high-volume scratch-cooking environment
  • proven leadership skills with the ability to build and sustain a positive kitchen culture
  • strong organizational and operational management abilities
  • creative and passionate culinary mindset dedicated to excellence
  • availability and willingness to relocate to Lynchburg, Virginia

Job Duties

  • Conceptualize, design, and execute an innovative from-scratch menu that establishes the restaurant as a premier culinary destination
  • take full responsibility for recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring the entire opening BOH team, creating a positive and high-performance kitchen culture
  • act as a working chef, actively managing the line during service to ensure flawless execution, consistency, and quality control
  • implement and manage all kitchen systems, including inventory control, purchasing, food costing, and labor management to achieve financial targets
  • uphold the absolute highest standards of sanitation, food safety, and kitchen organization
