Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of relevant culinary experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience managing food budgets
  • Ability to supervise and lead a culinary team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to work onsite full-time
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • At least five years of progressive culinary experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software programs
  • Experience with budget statements
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Associate's degree in culinary arts is a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervising the quality standards and practices of the food production process including purchasing food specifications meal preparation service and sanitation
  • Developing standardized recipes and utilizing production tools to ensure food quality and cost objectives are met
  • Participating in the planning and execution of special events
  • Managing culinary staff and coordinating daily kitchen operations
  • Monitoring inventory levels and controlling food costs
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborating with college administration to enhance dining programs
