Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • ServSafe certification
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive culinary management experience including 3 years in an executive or culinary director role
  • Proven leadership abilities managing teams of over 50 staff in 24/7 operations
  • Deep knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutrition principles, and HACCP standards
  • Skilled in computerized menu management and inventory software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting software
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday and participate in weekend manager rotation
  • Strong financial and operational management skills
  • Commitment to food safety, quality, and patient satisfaction
  • Ability to oversee equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field or equivalent experience
  • ServSafe certification
  • Minimum 5 years progressive culinary management experience including 3 years as Executive Chef or Culinary Director
  • Experience managing high-volume, multi-unit operations
  • Proven leadership of large culinary teams
  • Expertise in therapeutic and modified diets, nutrition principles, and HACCP standards
  • Proficiency with menu management systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or MS Teams
  • Experience managing food service in acute care hospital settings preferred
  • Proven success increasing retail cafe revenue and managing multiple P&L statements preferred

Job Duties

  • Design, test, and implement innovative menus for patient and retail dining
  • Establish and maintain recipe and plating standards
  • Manage food and labor costs and monitor inventory
  • Elevate food presentation and maintain high culinary standards
  • Direct daily operations of large-scale cook-chill and conventional production kitchens
  • Recruit, train, and mentor culinary and kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with health codes and food safety standards
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment
  • Manage operational flow and culinary offerings of retail cafes
  • Analyze retail trends and patient feedback to improve service and offerings
