Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years culinary experience
  • Preferred 2 years management experience
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong communication skills including oral and written
  • Knowledge of advanced culinary principles
  • Experience in staff coaching and team leadership
  • Understanding of food safety and operational compliance

Job Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of culinary experience
  • At least 2 years in a management role preferred
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experiential knowledge in managing people and resolving problems
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to simplify complex agendas for team understanding
  • Strong oral, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure culinary production aligns with Aramark's Executional Framework
  • Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques are upheld for food preparation, production, presentation, and service
  • Manage a culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to maintain quality food presentation
  • Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees on best practice food production techniques
  • Coach employees to create shared understanding of goals and methods
  • Reward and recognize employee performance
  • Plan and execute team meetings and daily operational huddles
  • Maintain all staff records including training, shift checklists, and performance data
  • Develop and maintain effective client and guest relationships
  • Interact directly with guests daily
  • Aggregate and communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
  • Deliver on food and labor cost targets
  • Focus on margin improvement through understanding performance metrics, order, and inventory data
  • Oversee efficient daily execution and delivery of all culinary products according to menu
  • Maintain integrity of Aramark's food quality and safety standards
  • Manage waste, standard menus, recipes, and labor standards through customer-driven menus
  • Understand supply chain and procurement processes, ensuring use of authorized suppliers
  • Possess full knowledge and implementation of the Food Framework
  • Ensure accuracy of estimated food consumption for requisitions and purchases
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Comply with Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards and occupational/environmental safety policies
  • Comply with all relevant policies, rules, and regulations including safety, health, and labor laws
