Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent culinary education preferred
  • eight to ten years of executive chef experience at reputable hotels or resorts
  • extensive experience in menu development and costing
  • five or more years managing multi-outlet food production
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
  • ability to mentor and coach culinary staff
  • capability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment

Job Qualifications

  • Eight to ten years of experience as an executive chef at reputable hotels or resorts
  • extensive menu development and menu costing experience
  • five plus years of experience in multi-outlet food production management
  • outstanding communication skills
  • delegation and leadership abilities
  • hands-on working position with deep knowledge in all aspects of food production
  • proven ability as a mentor and coach to maintain employee retention

Job Duties

  • Create menus which reflect seasonal availability based on the concept of the restaurant
  • develop food and beverage merchandising programs for grab and go or any other food retail element in the hotel
  • analyze menus and procedures to improve profit and quality
  • stay informed on trends and adapt menus based on guest needs, the hotel’s guest mix, and industry trends
  • develop daily, seasonal, and special event menus to enhance the guest experience
  • forecast purchases and maintain food cost to align with budget
  • lead safety, efficiency, and sanitary production standards
  • develop purchase specifications and ensure food inspection and receiving standards are met
  • monitor all activities of stewarding department and personnel
  • design training and development plans to enhance team skills
  • collaborate with culinary team to provide demonstrations and examples of quality food and recipe standards
  • create an amenity program that reflects the hotel and its environment
  • lead a culture of teamwork where all employees feel empowered to assist guests
  • maintain clear communication with general manager, corporate director of food and beverage, and human resources department
