Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent culinary certification
  • Minimum of 5 years in progressive culinary or kitchen management roles
  • Proven experience in high-volume food service environments
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and financial acumen related to food cost control
  • Ability to innovate and develop creative menus
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. or equivalent experience in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate with proven experience
  • Progressive culinary and kitchen management experience, depending on formal training
  • High volume, complex food service operations experience is highly desirable
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience is helpful
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and the Internet
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs or activities
  • ServSafe certification is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Partner with the Culinary Director to manage food cost controls, optimize kitchen operations, and ensure financial efficiency
  • Collaborate on crafting and performing outstanding, seasonal menus that reflect both creativity and guest preferences
  • Roll out new culinary initiatives in partnership with marketing and culinary innovation teams
  • Supervise, prepare, and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Develop and refine daily offerings, including preparation techniques and garnishing, to delight every guest
