Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in kitchen leadership

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in overall kitchen leadership or similar role
  • AOS Culinary School graduate or related training is a plus
  • Functional knowledge of Health Department, OSHA, and related regulations
  • Excellent multitasking, delegation, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated decision-making and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail
  • Strong financial and business acumen with analytical skills
  • Proficient interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer and technological skills
  • ServSafe food handler's certificate
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Duties

  • Oversee all kitchen production areas including scheduling and supervising all shifts
  • Monitor production procedures to ensure quality, consistency, efficiency, productivity, and professionalism
  • Supervise kitchen management to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures including recipes, quality measures, purchasing, and inventory
  • Direct and train kitchen staff in proper food storage, preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
  • Develop production methodologies to increase kitchen efficiency, productivity, and consistency
  • Ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are maintained and kitchen equipment is properly maintained
  • Manage vendor and purveyor relationships with professionalism
  • Participate in culinary project execution and long-term planning
  • Maintain and analyze food and labor costs to meet budgetary goals
  • Collaborate with marketing on menus and culinary elements for events
  • Interview, train, supervise, and discipline kitchen staff
  • Lead development and ongoing training for kitchen associates including safety and food handling
  • Conduct regular meetings and performance evaluations
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance to health and safety regulations
  • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling and associate forms
  • Oversee inventory management, waste control, and theft prevention
  • Develop and implement strategic culinary calendar and menu innovations
  • Foster positive company culture and staff morale.
