Job Requirements

  • excellent organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • experience with hotel restaurant systems such as MICROS
  • Serve Safe certification
  • TIPS or Care Certified
  • management experience in hotel restaurants
  • excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Create and execute innovative culinary strategies that drive guest satisfaction and revenues
  • maintain a hands-on approach to all culinary operations
  • collaborate with food and beverage team in menu planning, development, and execution
  • ensure kitchen and stewarding staff are trained to standards
  • develop and coach department managers
  • drive outlet revenues through marketing and promotion
  • calculate accurate food costs and coordinate with accounting
  • estimate and communicate production needs
  • schedule and inspect food and beverage deliveries
  • ensure portion sizes, garnishing, presentation, and preparation exceed standards
  • monitor budgets, payroll, and financial transactions
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • maintain sanitation and food subsidy records
  • establish personnel performance and customer service standards
  • review procedures to improve service, safety, or performance
  • organize and direct training programs
  • resolve personnel issues and evaluate staff performance
  • analyze sales data for menu optimization
  • coordinate equipment maintenance and waste management
  • train staff in food safety and sanitation
  • coordinate with Front Office and Catering for VIP services and event orders
