Job Requirements
- This position works with several types of chemicals
- Proper precautions are taken
- This position occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather conditions
- Ability to move around work area effectively and efficiently
- Ability to inspect and clean areas of responsibility
- Must be able to balance, climb and crawl as position is at times required to use ladders, as well as clean ground level areas
- Will be required to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift
- Must be able to transport all supplies to and from work areas
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to train new employees
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Job Duties
- Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers
- Training of all new hires to properly perform the following duties consistently
- Vacuums, sweeps, shampoos, and hand brushes
- removes stains, gum, and debris
- Clean all glass and mirrors in assigned areas
- cleans all slot machine chrome and glass in assigned areas
- cleans all overhead brass
- Cleans walls, ceilings, vents, lights, and fixtures in office areas
- cleans glass and mirrors in office areas
- cleans and polishes brass in areas
- porter pan, vacuums, and spot clean carpets
- vacuums and dusts furniture
- shampoos upholstered furniture
- cleans ashtrays and cigarette urns in offices
- removes trash from receptacles
- Cleans sinks, toilets, urinals, and counters
- strips and waxes hard floors
- polishes mirrors, stainless steel, and chrome
- cleans walls, ceilings, lights, vents, doors, and partitions
- fills paper and soap dispensers
- empties trash receptacles
- Empties trash receptacles
- cleans counters, tables, chairs, and railings
- sweeps, mops, strips, and waxes floors
- cleans slot machine bases
- cleans gaming tables
- and shampoos gaming tables
- Such other job duties may be assigned by management
