This position is within the Entrepreneurship Institute, which is part of the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University. The Entrepreneurship Institute focuses on cultivating a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students and the broader community. It provides resources, programs, and events designed to inspire and support aspiring entrepreneurs. The Institute’s mission is to foster entrepreneurial skills and mindset through experiential learning, networking opportunities, and collaborative initiatives that connect students, faculty, and industry leaders.
The role of the Events Coordinator at Utah Valley University’s Entrepreneurship Institute is a full-time, nonexempt salaried staff position offering an annual salary ranging from $43,472 to $51,143. This position reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and is key to supporting the Entrepreneurship Institute’s mission by managing event planning, marketing, and communication strategies. The Events Coordinator is responsible for organizing more than 25 events annually, including workshops, speaker series, competitions, and networking events that engage students and promote entrepreneurial activities.
This role requires a highly organized and creative individual who is capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. The Coordinator will manage event logistics such as room reservations, catering, audio-visual needs, setup, and vendor coordination to ensure events run smoothly and professionally. Additionally, the Coordinator will capture photography and video content during events to support marketing and documentation efforts.
In addition to event management, the Coordinator will oversee the Entrepreneurship Institute’s social media presence across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. They will develop, schedule, and post engaging content aligned with the Institute’s initiatives, write clear and compelling copy for digital and print materials, and maintain consistent branding using UVU guidelines. The Coordinator will also respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from students and the community on digital platforms.
A significant aspect of the role involves marketing responsibilities, including assisting with the creation of marketing assets such as flyers, digital signage, social media graphics, and email campaigns. The Coordinator is expected to track and analyze marketing metrics to assess outreach effectiveness and refine strategies accordingly.

- Familiarity with branding standards and content creation for digital and print platforms

Job Duties
