Job Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of experience in event management or a combination of education and experience totaling four years
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of experience in event management or combination of education and experience totaling four years
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field
  • Experience in social media management, event planning, or marketing in professional or educational settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, social media management, and event planning practices
  • Familiarity with branding standards and content creation for digital and print platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with students, faculty, and campus partners
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing institute events including workshops, speaker series, competitions, and networking events per academic year
  • Coordinate event logistics including room reservations, catering, AV needs, setup, and vendor coordination
  • Capture photos and videos during events for post-event marketing and documentation
  • Manage and grow the Entrepreneurship Institute's social media presence by developing, scheduling, and posting content aligned with institute initiatives
  • Write clear and engaging copy for social media posts, newsletters, website updates, and event promotions
  • Respond to student and community inquiries on digital platforms professionally and timely
  • Assist in creating marketing assets including flyers, digital signage, social media graphics, and email campaigns
  • Maintain consistent branding and messaging aligned with UVU guidelines
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess outreach effectiveness
  • Support additional institute initiatives, projects, and general office support as needed
