Headquartered in New York City, Van Wyck & Van Wyck specializes in environmental design and event production. The role of Event Stylist at Van Wyck & Van Wyck is a design-driven position that bridges the gap between creative concept and execution. This individual is responsible for translating broad themes and creative directions into tangible, sourceable, and executable design elements that enhance the overall event experience. Reporting to the NYC office and NJ studio, the Event Stylist will also maintain an on-site presence during events. This position requires close collaboration with leadership, designers, and project managers to interpret concepts into specific recommendations related to props, tabletop items, furniture, fabrics, floral and greenery arrangements, and decorative elements. The stylist curates from the company’s in-house inventory and sources or purchases items as necessary. Hands-on styling experience is essential, as the role involves physically styling select events on-site.

Success in this position hinges on possessing a strong visual vocabulary, aesthetic sophistication, and the practical knowledge of event production or visual merchandising styling. An understanding of production logistics and the ability to work within timelines and budgets are also crucial. The stylist is expected to stay current with trends in interiors, art, fashion, hospitality, and retail to ensure fresh and relevant design applications. Estimated travel includes participation in up to 10 events annually.

Compensation for this full-time role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. The position also offers an extensive benefits package including paid time off, comprehensive health insurance plans, primary care and mental health memberships, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, a cell phone stipend, commuter benefits, and gym reimbursement. Van Wyck & Van Wyck and Workshop pride themselves on fostering an inclusive, equal opportunity employment environment where diversity and equity are prioritized.
