Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of special event management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and proficiency in One Cause event software is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and lead all Tier 1 special events including the JCC Gala, Golf Tournament, ECC Spring fundraiser, Israel Independence Day, and member appreciation events
  • Assist with Tier 2 events such as Pickleball Socials and adult programming as needed
  • Manage special event budgets, revenue, expenses, and purchase orders
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of team members and vendors to ensure successful event execution
  • Oversee event setup and cleanup, ensuring proper storage and accounting of equipment and materials
  • Collaborate with internal support staff and event lay leadership to create positive event experiences
  • Manage data entry and record keeping for all major fundraisers
