Job Requirements
- Equivalent to two years of high school preferred
- Up to three months to become proficient in all aspects of the position
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Willingness to work night shift hours from 11 PM to 7:30 AM
- Availability to work every weekend and holiday
- Ability to wear proper protective clothing and handle cleaning chemicals safely
- Strong customer service orientation
- Physical capability to perform cleaning duties including heavy cleaning tasks
Job Qualifications

- Previous experience in cleaning or hospital environment preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills to interact respectfully with patients and staff
- Understanding of basic cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
- Ability to work night shift hours including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and hospital hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Coordinate with nursing staff and supervisor to clean occupied rooms first and attend to emergency cleaning for spills
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to wash and clean patient rooms daily including floor care and removal of debris
- Clean restrooms thoroughly including basins, commodes, tubs, mirrors, and restock supplies
- Perform periodic detailed cleaning of medical equipment and hospital closets
- Dry mop and damp mop corridors and spot clean common areas
- Maintain carpets by vacuuming, extracting, bonnet cleaning, and spot cleaning
- Hang curtains if needed and check condition of cleaning equipment reporting any issues immediately
- Display positive customer service attitude by greeting patients, assisting visitors, and communicating appropriately during cleaning
- Use proper protective clothing and techniques when cleaning precaution or isolation patient rooms
- Mix and use cleaning agents properly according to hospital standards
