Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in a maintenance or engineering role
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to perform manual labor and operate tools

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous maintenance or engineering experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair systems
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Familiarity with safety standards and compliance
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance tracking

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Comply with Peachtree Hospitality Management Standards and regulations
  • Maintain regular attendance standards as required
  • Have knowledge and understanding of department policies and communicate fairly with staff
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and building systems
  • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl
  • Check electrical systems and make minor repairs or replacements
  • Assist with major and minor repairs of hotel equipment including kitchen and laundry appliances, boilers, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Service hotel pool including chemical adjustments and cleaning filters
  • Maintain building exterior and curb appeal including snow removal, lawn care, painting, trash removal, and gardening
  • Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms and paint or finish as needed
  • Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests
  • Operate heavy machinery safely
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals
  • Assemble, install, or repair electrical components, pipe systems, machinery, and equipment
  • Perform maintenance work orders promptly
  • Communicate with other departments regarding guest room conditions
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and storage rooms
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
  • Attend all scheduled training and meetings as required
