Job Requirements

  • Associate degree with a minimum of two years of case management experience or closely related experience
  • Or high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years of case management experience or closely related field experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Adept with computer programs including Microsoft Office suite and data information management systems

  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and data management systems
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to establish professional boundaries
  • Demonstrated servant leadership and alignment with core cultural values
  • Experience working with diverse populations, preferably veterans

Job Duties

  • Establish and maintain complete and accurate records of SSVF participants and their progress toward goals and objectives
  • Develop a trusting and helping relationship with homeless veterans without bias regarding their history or circumstance
  • Help SSVF enrolled veterans connect with available public and private service resources and follow up on referrals
  • Coordinate with VA employment programs and other programs for wrap around support
  • Conduct employability assessments including aptitude, readiness for work, and physical capabilities
  • Assist veterans with creating resumes, employment search plans, job training support and job interview preparation
  • Provide regular feedback on enrolled participants' progress and make recommendations for discontinuing or extending services
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of a resource base of employers committed to hiring veterans
  • Coordinate with SSVF service coordinator and other staff to ensure supportive communication and services
  • Participate in in-service training and employment-related events
