Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience using commercial kitchen equipment, customer service, food preparation, and supervisory experience
- mathematical skills including basic calculations and application of job related math concepts
- ability to work with detailed information and maintain strict confidentiality
- must have or be able to pass ServeSafe course within first 45 days of employment and maintain certification
- valid Alaska driver’s license and use of personal vehicle
- must be able to gain access to military installations

Job Duties
- manage the operation of nutrition services to ensure quality, nutritious, and cost-effective meals daily
- supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities
- maintain and operate commercial kitchen equipment including steam tables, convection ovens, coolers, and freezers
- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations including obtaining and maintaining ServeSafe certification
- manage inventory, ordering, and supply control
- handle confidential information related to nutrition services and staff
- provide excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, and the community
