Job Requirements

  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • impeccable driving record
  • no felony convictions
  • pass background screening and motor vehicle records check
  • ability to meet company and regulatory driving record requirements
  • willingness to represent H-E-B professionally on the road
  • dependable with a strong work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • valid U.S. driver’s license for 3+ years
  • clean driving record with no suspended or revoked licenses
  • no moving violations or preventable accidents in the past three years
  • no DWI/DUI or related convictions
  • ability to read and follow road maps
  • ability to work without direct supervision
  • attention to detail
  • strong customer service orientation
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Gather appropriate paperwork for deliveries
  • use manifest to ensure the most efficient delivery route and schedule
  • complete and document inspection of vehicle per requirements such as pre-trip and post-trip
  • ensure content, condition, and securing of cargo/product within truck for delivery
  • deliver product to store locations accurately, safely, and on time
  • unload customer orders at store locations
  • adhere to traffic and safety laws and H-E-B policies
  • maintain cleanliness of vehicle
  • report maintenance problems
  • return reusable items
  • perform additional duties as assigned
