Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel
  • respond promptly to guest needs to ensure satisfaction
  • train all hotel staff in guest service standards
  • develop added value customer service programs
  • empower staff to deliver responsive guest assistance
  • meet or exceed hotel guest satisfaction measures
  • ensure hotel standards contribute to consistent guest service
  • act as manager on duty for hotel and manage front desk operations
  • train front desk staff in operations including check-in/check-out, telephone procedures, hotel amenities, and computer systems
  • participate in revenue management functions and corporate calls
  • ensure front desk staff follow financial control procedures
  • produce accurate financial reports on time
  • collaborate with General Manager and Sales Manager to generate new business ideas
  • manage human resources functions including recruiting, selection, orientation, training, and evaluation
  • maintain a positive work environment
  • ensure compliance with personnel policies and regulations
  • resolve employee grievances
  • mentor direct reports
  • ensure completion of training objectives
  • monitor and maintain acceptable turnover levels
  • know and follow local health and safety codes
  • recognize and correct safety and security hazards
  • enforce key control system policies
  • manage preventive maintenance programs
  • schedule deep-cleaning activities
  • ensure ongoing staff involvement in maintenance programs
  • protect hotel interests during capital projects
  • perform property quality audits
  • conduct periodic inspections of rooms, building exterior, and parking lot
