Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
- Must obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license including passing a DMV-required physical exam
- Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry
- Confidence working with the public, especially teens
- Strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits
- Flexibility to accommodate student schedules including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25lbs
- Capability of safely assuming control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations
Job Duties
- Deliver behind-the-wheel instruction to students of varying ages and experience levels, following AAA’s curriculum and training standards
- Use driving school software to track and manage student progress
- Assess student performance and provide personalized guidance
- Stay current on safe and defensive driving practices
- Maintain all required state documentation
