Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Valid driver’s license for Non-CDL vehicle operation
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, and squatting
- Basic computer and scanner experience
- Ability to read and understand written information
- Availability to work full-time
- Ability to maintain positive relations within all levels of an organization
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds frequently
- Experience in warehouse or material handling preferred
- Familiarity with using scanners and inventory control systems a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license for Non-CDL vehicle operation
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions
- Physical stamina to perform standing, walking, lifting and occasional bending
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Follow safety rules and work procedures
- Receive and count stock items and record data by scanner, manually or using computer
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms and warehouse
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling equipment
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment and inspect stock items for wear or defects reporting any damage to supervisors
- Drive a non-CDL vehicle to transport materials to and from specified destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads
- Operate a forklift to load/unload truck when necessary
