Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must have at least 6 months experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment
  • Must have completed a forklift training program successfully
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass federal, state, and local background checks, clearances, and drug/alcohol tests such as airport or TSA requirements
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months
  • Must have strong computer skills including RF scanners and WMS functions
  • Must be proficient in English both written and verbal
  • Must have basic to intermediate mathematical skills
  • Must be detail-oriented with accuracy in task completion
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be flexible and adapt well to a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to work as assigned in an indoor warehouse and outdoor environment
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • CDL or prior tractor yard experience is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Able to operate material handling equipment
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass federal, state, local background checks, clearances, and drug/alcohol tests
  • Basic computer skills including use of RF scanners and warehouse management systems
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Basic to intermediate math skills to verify quantities and count inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Adaptability to fast-paced, changing work environments
  • Ability to work in both indoor warehouse and outdoor conditions
  • Clean driving record
  • Preferred: 1-2 years experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution
  • Preferred: 1-2 years forklift experience
  • Preferred: Current or prior material handling equipment certification
  • Preferred: CDL or prior tractor yard experience

Job Duties

  • Maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency
  • Operate company commercial vehicles within ~20 air-mile radius to deliver and recover freight
  • Verify shipment bills for required information prior to loading
  • Load and unload freight safely
  • Weigh and check dimensions against shipper calculations
  • Sort outbound freight and load ULDs and trucks
  • Interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements
  • Provide professional customer interaction during pickup and delivery
  • Properly use airline, electrical hookup, and backing procedures
  • Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Use gas or electric forklifts/MHE to load outbound shipments, move and stack product
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Pull and prepare shipments ensuring accuracy
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are free of damage
  • Report quality variances
  • Move product from staging or storage to production lines or staging docks
  • Keep appropriate records for inventory control and security
  • Assist in physical inventories and stock rotation
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Comply with SOPs, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards
  • Participate in safety meetings
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain equipment in neat and orderly condition
  • Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklifts or other equipment
  • Maintain active forklift certification
  • Perform maintenance as assigned
  • Change fuel tanks on forklifts, repair pallets, trailers, and truck bays as needed
  • Work overtime as needed
