Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to obtain a driver’s license or CDL with passenger endorsement upon hire
- Compliance with FTA Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations
- Ability to complete two-week training before independent operation
- Capability to operate vans and cutaway buses and related equipment
- Physically able to perform essential job functions including pushing weights above 5lbs and operating the bus under varying weather conditions
- Maintain a drug-free workplace
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to travel to other locations as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous bus driving experience encouraged but not required
- Ability to complete two-week on-the-job training
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDL with passenger endorsement
- Completion of CTAA PASS Driver Certification and wheelchair training
- Defensive Driving Training Certification
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage challenging passenger behaviors and scheduling changes effectively
Job Duties
- Provide safe and efficient transportation for passengers
- Operate buses on scheduled times
- Pick up passengers on dispatched request
- Operate buses on scheduled activities including out-of-town routes and medical trips
- Perform wheelchair securements
- Use two-way radios and MDT computers for communication
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols
