Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid standard driver’s license (Class D or above) with excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain and retain Medical Examiner Card (MED)
- Willingness to work Saturdays
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for safety and regulatory compliance
- Minimum 6 months of related driving route experience
- Ability to perform physical job duties
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to use ELD and GPS devices
- Reliable transportation to reporting location
- Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6 months of driving/shred or box truck route management experience preferred
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for highway traffic safety
- Valid standard driver’s license (Class D or above) with excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain and retain Medical Examiner Card (MED)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow safety and regulatory guidelines
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Experience with electronic logging devices and GPS systems
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading supplies
Job Duties
- Manage assigned waste pickup routes ensuring safe, timely, and accurate pickups
- Transport waste according to all federal, state, and local regulations
- Plan daily schedules based on customer needs and route sheets
- Follow routing software schedules
- Prepare and load trucks with necessary supplies
- Unload trucks securely at various sites
- Ensure waste is packaged according to regulations before transport
- Provide high-level customer service and communicate issues to supervisors
- Secure waste, supplies, and equipment before vehicle operation
- Complete assigned paperwork legibly and accurately
- Maintain DOT driver logs if applicable
- Communicate changes or issues with routes to supervisors
- Inform covering employees of any unusual situations
- Report problems with accounts daily
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle maintenance
- Report maintenance problems promptly
- Use ELD devices to log hours as per DOT guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
