Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 plus years of driving experience preferably with shred trucks, box trucks, and route management
- Valid Class B or higher driver’s license with an excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain a medical card from a certified medical examiner
- Compliance with all local, state, and federal driving regulations
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports
- Willingness to undergo mandatory immunizations and credentialing as required by customers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience preferably driving shred trucks, box trucks, and managing routes
- Valid driver’s license Class B or above with an excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain medical card by a certified medical examiner
- Proficient in English sufficient to understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to inquiries, and complete reports
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate company equipment safely
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service requirements
Job Duties
- Performs onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information
- Performs pre/post-trip checks and driver check-in on assigned truck prior to leaving or closing for the day
- Reports maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher for follow-up
- Operates company equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk of injury and equipment damage
- Complies with local, state, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service
- Completes and maintains DOT logs when applicable
- Maintains high level of security when emptying consoles and collection totes ensuring documents are retrieved and containers are securely locked
- Services accounts using handheld device ensuring consoles/containers are barcoded, locations are up to date, and accuracy of type and quantity verified
- Manages assigned routes ensuring customer materials are collected and serviced timely and accurately
- Handles and responds to all customer problems and inquiries expediently in the best interest of the customer and company
- Performs other assigned duties as needed
- May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements
