Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma or highest degree earned
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record as defined by Prisma Health’s MVR chart
- Ability to operate wheelchair-equipped vehicles
- Proficiency in basic computer and mobile device usage
- Ability to assist participants with mobility
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with interdisciplinary teams
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with basic computer operations including email
- Advanced skills using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets
- Experience with scheduling or communication platforms
- One year experience with frail or elderly population preferred
Job Duties
- Operate specially equipped vehicles including vans with wheelchair lifts to transport participants safely and on schedule
- Assist participants with varying levels of mobility during loading and unloading
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices using appropriate tie-downs
- Maintain established transportation schedules and adjust routes as needed for efficiency and safety
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Respond quickly and appropriately to medical or safety emergencies following established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to share observations and communicate changes in participant condition
