Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license per assigned vehicle type required
- Successful completion of a road test required
- Ability to meet company insurability standards required
- Ability to meet all driver qualification requirements per federal regulations (49 CFR part 391) required
- Ability to meet current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) quality criteria required
- No drug violations during the previous 5 years
- Proof of completion of certified SAP program for violations over 5 years old required
- Basic knowledge of laws and government regulations pertaining to commercial vehicle operations required
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions as applied to work situations required
- Basic measurement and arithmetic skills required
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and customers or vendors required
- Ability to make sound decisions based on knowledge, experience, and judgment required
Job Qualifications
- 0-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

- 1 year of commercial driving experience with relevant cargo preferred
- Valid driver's license per assigned vehicle type required
- Successful completion of a road test

Job Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating under 26,001 lbs to deliver or pick up merchandise, materials, and equipment to assigned destinations in a timely manner
- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods including securement of cargo for transport
- Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Load and unload vehicles as required
- Perform daily vehicle inspections as defined by FMCSA to ensure roadworthiness and safety equipment functionality
- Record inspection information or list defects on the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) as required by FMCSA
- Use an electronic logging device (ELD) to log daily activities as required by FMCSA
- Report traffic incidents including accidents, violations, or vehicle damage to supervisory staff
- Read bills of lading and manifests to determine assignment details
- Check load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy and obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods or collect payments when required
