Job Requirements
- A current valid CDL license and clean driving record with no major violations
- an up to date DOT or TC physical card
- ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
- proficiency in digital tools for routing, logging, and communication
- demonstrated ability to assess and navigate varied delivery environments
- prior experience in commercial driving and load security
- willingness to participate in safety meetings and training
- capability to perform physical tasks related to modular setups
- availability to work local routes with home daily schedule
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED/CAEC)
- minimum of 2 years related commercial driving experience
- valid Class A CDL or equivalent (US or Canada) with a clean driving record
- current DOT or TC physical card
- proficiency in digital routing, logging, and communication tools (GPS, electronic logs)
- ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- demonstrated capability to assess and navigate complex delivery environments
- experience with load security and modular building setup preferred
- effective communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle (26,000+ lbs) for delivery, relocation, and retrieval of modular buildings and storage units
- navigate diverse roadways and sites using appropriate delivery equipment (5th wheel, ball hitch, tilt flatbed)
- conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance
- secure modular and storage units using tie-downs, chains, and rigging tools to meet safety and legal standards
- ensure loads meet weight, width, and clearance limits for routes
- monitor and adjust load integrity during transport
- maintain communication with dispatch and field teams regarding route updates and issues
- perform on-site assessments to identify terrain challenges and access restrictions
- position units as per customer instructions
- perform setups and tear downs including cribbing, leveling, and anchoring of modular buildings
- install Value-Added Products (VAPS) such as steps, ramps, and security hardware
- recommend VAPS to customers to enhance product lines
- interpret site plans and scopes to align setups with specifications and safety standards
- act as primary customer liaison during delivery and setup
- participate in safety meetings and training
- comply with company safety policies, DOT/TC regulations, and environmental guidelines
- maintain safety training records and clean appearance
- log delivery status using mobile apps or GPS systems
