Job Requirements
- Must have an unrestricted CDL
- trucks are manual
- valid CDL B license required
- must maintain current medical card
- must pass DOT physical exam and road test
- no more than three moving violations in past 36 months or combination of two moving violations in previous 12 months
- must be TSA-certified truck driver and obtain STA number upon employment
- must have acceptable motor vehicle record
- no convictions for driving under influence within past 7 years
- no positive drug or alcohol test results within last 7 years
- must be detail oriented
- able to work in fast paced, high volume environment
- must have strong organizational and time management skills
- able to participate in safety policies and activities
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge

- no preventable accidents involving a fatality, bodily injuries treated away from the scene, or disabling damage to a motor vehicle within three years
- has no conviction for driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs violation within the past seven (7) years
- no positive drug or alcohol results in last 7 years reported to Clearinghouse
- general computer skills
Job Duties
- Drive truck to and from specified destinations safely and follow all state, local laws, and DOT regulations
- a valid CDL B is required to drive a truck 26,001 lbs. or greater
- focuses on safety and compliance including the real time reporting of any accidents, incidents encountered on the road, monitoring of road conditions and following all applicable traffic laws
- handles general fleet maintenance including appropriate fueling, cleaning of truck, washing of windows, full inspection of truck before and after trip and proactive reporting of any maintenance needs
- prepare receipt for load picked up or bill of lading
- maintain driver hours of service using electronic logs and ensures rest periods according to state and federal regulations
- maintains and ensures compliance with DOT and other applicable regulations, including State or Federal regulations
- provides timely communication with supervisor/manager regarding the status of daily route
- including, when stops have been completed, when taking lunch or other breaks, and prior to clocking out
- ensures timeliness of client delivery by proactively anticipating any delivery challenges and ensuring timely departure
- inspect truck equipment and supplies
- ensure time, date, verification, and signature on all freight paperwork
- perform emergency roadside repairs, secure cargo with proper equipment
- load bars, e-track, and straps during transit
- may load and unload truck when not driving the truck
- may operate a forklift or pallet jack when not driving the truck
- destination may be either short haul or long haul
- maintain a clean work environment and follow safety policies
- other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary
- the wage range for this position is $28.50-$40.30 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience
