Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Pass road test
- Valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move product cases
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, with early morning start times
- Willingness to stay overnight up to one time per week if needed
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 6-12 months commercial driving experience (Customized and Specialty)
- 1 year or more commercial driving experience (PFS – b/c they have the driver Trainee)
- Valid CDL A
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- Must be 21 years of age
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight, perform count check of items and check customer invoices
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, perform damage control checks on items, verify delivery with customer and obtain proper signatures, collect money where required, load customer returns and secure trailer doors
- Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and secured at all times
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork, perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area, keep trailers clear and clean, secure all equipment and complete required paperwork at shift end
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state and company requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
