Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- prior experience in material handling or delivery assistance preferred
- valid driver's license is a plus but not required
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- strong teamwork skills
- dependable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in loading or warehouse work preferred
- ability to operate hand trucks, forklifts, or electric pallet jacks is a plus
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- physical ability to handle manual labor tasks
- commitment to workplace safety
- attention to detail in recording inventory and damage
Job Duties
- Loads and unloads materials from delivery trucks by hand, hand truck, forklift, or electric pallet jack as appropriate
- rides inside the cab of delivery trucks during transportation
- reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify materials or containers to be moved
- loads materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- conveys materials between trucks and designated loading or delivery areas
- arranges products as per prearranged plans or management instructions
- counts and records units moved, breakage, and spoilage on appropriate documentation
- performs additional duties as assigned by supervisors
