Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year experience performing these or similar tasks or equivalent combination of education, training or experience
- valid driver’s license
- ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently
- occasionally lift and carry up to 200 pounds with assistance
- ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, pushing, kneeling
- ability to work in all weather conditions
- ability to climb up and down into vehicle cabs and operate controls
- knowledge of safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one year experience performing similar tasks or equivalent combination of education, training or experience
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to read and understand maps, routes, road signs
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to read and understand machine and equipment diagrams and system schematics
- knowledgeable of escort service regulations
- knowledge of basic math and measurement skills
- knowledge and ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
- valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Assists with loading and appropriately securing product onto or inside delivery vehicle using motorized or non-motorized material handling equipment
- assists Driver in delivering and off-loading product at customer facility
- with assistance from Driver will carry product to a designated area at the customer site
- delivers customer orders to customer site using a company van or pickup truck
- obtains signed proof of delivery
- drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads, ensuring compliance with appropriate safety regulations
- inspects and maintains delivery vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
- plans and paces own work efficiency to meet daily, weekly, project, or team productivity goals
- understands and observes all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury
- attends periodic safety meetings as required
- may recommend changes to improve safety procedures
- performs other duties as assigned
