Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- ability to lift up to fifty pounds regularly
- ability to read and follow directions using a street map
- dependable and able to work independently
- practice safe driving habits and adhere to highway regulations
- effective communication skills
- detail oriented
- able to multitask and adapt to fast paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license (CDL) and clean driving record
- ability to read directions and use a street map to plot delivery route
- ability to maintain simple logs and records
- dependable worker able to carry out a series of work instructions without constant supervision
- must be physically able to lift up to fifty pounds regularly
- must practice safe driving habits and abide by all highway rules and regulations
- high school diploma or holder of GED or equivalent
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
- well versed in the industry and the company’s competitors
- excellent multitasking skills with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary
Job Duties
- Loads truck with items scheduled for deliveries
- determines most efficient order of delivery and prepares schedule showing order to be followed
- consults with supervisor about any unusual problems
- delivers items and gets receiving slips signed
- uses cell phone to report on progress of deliveries
- picks up returns and items for use by the company
- verifies items received against packing slips and signs receipt
- maintains simple records of deliveries and truck mileage
- follows maintenance schedule for having truck serviced
- reports any mechanical problems to supervisor
- assists in general warehouse duties upon completing delivery route
- occasionally drives 18 wheeler with a float or trailer
