Job Requirements
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Good driving record
- Ability to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift 25 pounds or more
- Ability to safely drive personal vehicle adhering to safety and efficiency guidelines
- HIPAA compliance at all times - training will be provided
- Ability to manage time and complete daily tasks
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to handle frequent driving and getting in and out of the vehicle
- Must be able to hear and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to wear appropriate attire and footwear that provide comfort and support
- Adherence to inside and outside environmental conditions
Job Qualifications
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Knowledge of using GPS or map to locate customer locations
- Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, and execute simple instructions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail
- Command of written and spoken English
- HIPAA compliance knowledge or willingness to be trained
- Good driving record
Job Duties
- Drives personal vehicle to transport medical items including specimen and supplies
- Loads and unloads medical items from vehicle and ensures specimens or supplies are properly maintained and safely secured based on specific company requirements
- Delivers the applicable items to the correct destinations in a timely manner and based on routing specifications
- Interacts with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintains accurate and legible delivery records and obtains customer signatures where applicable
- Communicates with dispatch and management when there are delays with deliveries, delivery status changes, etc.
