Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Operate a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transport loads safely and timely over required routes obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Inspect vehicle prior to leaving facility and report defects to supervisor
  • Follow OSHA lockout/tagout procedures correctly
  • Report vehicle defects on Driver's Daily Report Sheet
  • Load and unload goods properly and securely using specialized equipment
  • Use proper company procedures when operating lift-gate
  • Work cooperatively with logistics helper to prevent injuries and damages
  • Complete daily driver reports including Driver Report and Trip-Sheet
  • Report traffic violations or accidents immediately and complete incident reports
  • Use assistance from logistics helper when backing up or driving through difficult entrances
  • Ensure safe return of vehicle, equipment, and donated goods to facility
  • Secure all donations and goods at end of route
  • Perform other duties as assigned for successful department operation
