Job Requirements
- Able to communicate effectively and courteously with public and coworkers
- Must wear appropriate protective footwear
- Able to read map and use GPS
- Must have visual acuity
- Demonstrate reliable attendance
- Available to work Monday through Sunday hours as scheduled
- Knowledge of company mission and services
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to lift, pull, push 50 to 75 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, stoop
- Ability to perform repetitive movements
- Free from drug and alcohol abuse
- Valid driver’s license
- Liability insurance
- Insurability under agency insurance carrier
- Clean driving record
- Minimum one year driving experience
- Current driver’s medical certificate

Job Duties
- Operate a truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and timely over required routes obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Inspect vehicle prior to leaving facility and report defects to supervisor
- Follow OSHA lockout/tagout procedures correctly
- Report vehicle defects on Driver's Daily Report Sheet
- Load and unload goods properly and securely using specialized equipment
- Use proper company procedures when operating lift-gate
- Work cooperatively with logistics helper to prevent injuries and damages
- Complete daily driver reports including Driver Report and Trip-Sheet
- Report traffic violations or accidents immediately and complete incident reports
- Use assistance from logistics helper when backing up or driving through difficult entrances
- Ensure safe return of vehicle, equipment, and donated goods to facility
- Secure all donations and goods at end of route
- Perform other duties as assigned for successful department operation
