Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A/B CDL with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements
  • Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or trucking school completion certificate
  • Maintain valid driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements
  • No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years or a combination of both
  • No DUI of alcohol or controlled substances in the last seven years
  • Ability to work in a drug-free environment
  • Ability to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with material handling equipment
  • Compliance with DOT pre-employment and random drug testing
  • Adherence to safety policies including PPE use
  • Ability to perform physical job duties safely and effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A/B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements
  • Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or proof of recent trucking school completion
  • Maintain valid driver's license, medical card, and endorsements
  • No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years or a combination of one traffic conviction and one at-fault accident
  • No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances in the last 7 years
  • Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move over 125 lbs with equipment
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations for commercial drivers
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions
  • Able to interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedures
  • Meet all physical qualification standards for drivers
  • Commitment to safe and ethical work practices

Job Duties

  • Adhere to company safety policies including the use of personal protective equipment
  • Participate in identifying safety and health hazards in the workplace
  • Maintain a safe driving record and appropriate driver’s license classification
  • Load and unload service trucks with gas cylinders, containers, and supplies for scheduled deliveries
  • Make timely deliveries ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Ensure all delivery documents are accurate and available
  • Perform non-route deliveries as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Inspect vehicles for defects before each delivery and report issues
  • Perform post-trip inspections at the end of shifts
  • Identify potential cylinder problems and notify management
  • Comply with company policies and federal, state, local, and DOT regulations
  • Collect and submit customer payments promptly
  • Pull orders from the warehouse as necessary
  • Support internal and external customers to maintain inventory and delivery needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within qualifications
