Job Requirements
- Possess a class A Commercial Driver's License CDL or commercial learner's permit CLP prior to entering job classification
- Have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record based on hiring standards
- Meet Department of Transportation DOT regulatory requirements under section 391 of Federal Motor Carrier regulations
- Ability to count and perform basic math
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to hook up and break down sets of trailers requiring average lift force of about 100 pounds several times a day
- Ability to lift and carry hand freight weighing up to 100 pounds several times a week
- Ability to sit for extended periods bend twist squat and climb in and out of truck
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer combination including doubles and straight trucks
- Perform pre-trip post-trip and inter-trip safety inspections on equipment
- Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies to and from a tractor and or trailer
- Perform freight handling using forklift pallet jack and hand truck
- Secure freight inside trailers using pallets straps and rope
- Recoup and repair damaged freight when necessary
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
