Job Requirements
- Maintain a current applicable driver’s license
- Have an acceptable driving record
- Maintain required certifications such as CPR and annual driver education
- Knowledge of safety precautions
- Ability to operate chair lifts and secure wheelchairs and scooters
- Be at least 21 years old
- Ability to work semi-independently
- Demonstrate initiative and responsibility
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screenings
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Attend required training sessions

Job Duties
- Provide transportation services for residents
- Assist residents with any special needs during transportation such as carrying packages and helping in and out of the vehicle
- Maintain focus on driving and delegate tasks to onboard support staff
- Do not use a personal cell phone while driving
- Provide miscellaneous pickup and delivery services
- Demonstrate positive resident relations
- Follow safety, loss prevention, and infection control procedures
- Coordinate activities of team members assisting with transportation
- Possess local area knowledge for route planning
- Observe and consider resident safety
- Report any changes in resident condition
- Maintain community vehicles including cleanliness and safety equipment
- Perform routine preventative vehicle maintenance
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with vehicle registration and license renewals
- Inspect and document vehicle condition regularly
- Handle dangerous materials safely
- Ensure community compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Practice safety procedures including use of PPE and safety protocols
- Complete required drug and alcohol screenings
- Attend mandatory in-service training
- Respond to requests from residents, families, and team members
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Notify coordinators of resident concerns
- Report vehicle accidents and safety issues immediately
- Review and note important information in Daily and Maintenance Logs
- Train team members on driving and safety procedures
- Adhere to driving regulations and community policies
- Assist in activities when no outings are scheduled
- Participate actively in team meetings and engagement activities
- Maintain compliance with required trainings
- Perform other duties as assigned
