Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid state driver's license
- Must have a CDL Passenger endorsement (per state regulations)
- At least three (3) years of driving experience and a clean driving record
- At least one (1) year of previous experience driving a passenger vehicle, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Experience in operating large vehicles or an equivalent combination of experience and training
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional, friendly, and patient demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and commitment to treating our residents with the utmost respect

Job Duties
- Provide safe, reliable, courteous, and efficient transportation service for the residents to and from various human service locations, work sites, educational institutions, medical facilities, grocery stores, drug stores, and others
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift/stairs as needed
- open and close doors
- and load/unload walkers and wheelchairs as needed
- Ensure resident safety and satisfaction are priorities, and account for the presence of all residents when leaving or returning to the community
- Prepare the van/bus for operation and coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance
- May be responsible for ensuring all vehicle license plates, inspection tags, and insurance cards are current and displayed properly per local and state policy
- Follow and understand the rules of the road and transportation safety procedures
- Maintain a current driving license per state regulations to perform transportation services
- Assist in the resident programs as needed, including resident activities and special events
- Build positive relationships with residents, engaging in friendly conversation and providing support as needed during trips
